Well, it’s National Boss’s Day.
I am not sure what to think of this unofficial holiday. I like the idea of it but I am not sure I like the actual day and practice.
A few facts:
1. Patricia Bays Haroski registered “National Boss’ Day” with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1958.
2. She chose October 16, which was her father’s birthday. She was working for her father at the time.
3. This was a strategy to attempt to improve inner-work relationships between the high-ups and the employees.
Do you have a boss? Are you going to get him or her anything?
