The Little Red Owl

DIY ideas for home, health, & life

I like to read-but of course it’s the most enjoyable if it is a fabulous book (duh!) So here is a list of my top 5 favorite books recently and of the moment.

my top 5 books

The Dirt on Clean: an Unsanitized History by Katherine Ashenburg

This is a fascinating book on the history of hygiene and cleanliness in our world-I know! but TRUST ME. It’s so good!

The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs

I read this book a few years ago and loved it so much I asked for it for Christmas. I want to re-read this again this year (soon). Jacobs gives some great insight into our (by that I mean people in general) history and traditions and what we can learn from those.

Etsy-preneurship by Jason Malinak

I am currently reading this book and completing the downloads-I am hoping to learn a lot and apply it and grow my Etsy Shop.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I know, you have probably already read this (so have I) but I am dying to read it again!

A People’s History of the Unites States by Howard Zinn

This book is so interesting and honestly, a little overwhelming. There is so much information in here that I never learned in school-I feel instantly smarter when I read this book :)

Luckily, my nightstand (converted from an old record player stand and record holder) can hold many books. When I get into my coxy bed I just reach down and grab my fav!
