The Little Red Owl

DIY ideas for home, health, & life

Recently I was walking around one of my favorite chain stores: Target. I discovered some inexpensive makeup that seemed to have fewer chemicals and ingredients that other non-natural makeup. It is called ELF.  Have you heard of this or seen it?

I went online to see what else I could find out about this makeup and to read some reviews.

I learned ELF has 3 makeup lines: Studio, Essential, and Mineral.

The mineral quickly became my favorite. Here is the quote from their website: “100% mineral based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes”

I love that there are few ingredients, I can pronoun them, and their purpose is explained.

I do not wear makeup everyday and I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin-so this is perfect. It does not irritate my skin, doesn’t cause breakouts, and is light on the wallet.

I got mineral foundation with a brush for $5—regular price! They have primer for $6 and it’s a huge bottle (comparably). All of their brushes are $1.00-$3.00. I could go on and on. Love, Love, Love.

What’s your favorite new beauty product?

  1. Grandma says:

I will look this make-up for sure. I read in my mag. about some make-up at Target that actually has caffiene in it for a better eye brightner. It’s by Almay. Revive-Exhilarate/inviorate. Wonder how that works. Ha

  2. Am going to Target to check this out! Thanks! paula
