The Little Red Owl

DIY ideas for home, health, & life

It has been a while since I have posted a design or home project so I thought it was about time. The home husband and I rent has a nice front porch but it is an enclosed porch. This presented a design challenge for me. It is still separate from the house and is somewhat exposed to the elements, but you can also sit on the floor, walk in bare feet, etc.

I am constantly in fear in looking like a crazy person at my home. I love items (though I do not think of myself as a materialistic person-truth or myth I’m hanging onto?) but I do not want to have clutter in my home or too many useless items.

This is what I came up with:

I think this turned out practical and cute. Husband and I love spending time out here.

I agree with the previous posts. The porch room is darling and so neat looking. My guess is that your whole house is really nice, just from seeing these pictures. Right now I am sticking things in my entrance way because I don’t where else to put them. And it gives a messy look. I remember my mother used to “neatly” pile things up in the corner’s of the dining room and stuff the end of the buffet full of stuff. There is none of that sort of thing here in these pics. It makes it easier to clean this way too.

It is a darling front porch and is very much like an extra room.
