DIY cooking spray

Have you heard of the new thing? The cooking/baking oil mister.

There are many different types out in the wild, Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Amazon, and Target all carry different models.

This makes me bonk my head and say duh! Why have we (I) been paying for commercial spray cooking oils with additives when I could use my oil in a reusable bottle. Come on Amy!

(you could also cut olive oil with water and use a run of the mill misting spray bottle if you do not want to spend the money for a mister)

I have the Misto (I found mine at Homegoods on clearance b/c it was in an old package) and it works great. You simply fill the bottle half way with your choice of olive oil, pump the lid, and spray. easy enough!

Will you give misting a try?

  2. I had something from Pampered Chef that I finally gave up on. but I would like something that works easy like you mentioned. Maybe someday I will find one.
